SEND Teaching Assistant – Full-time, long-term and ongoing, starting ASAPThe school provides a nurturing and inclusive environment where pupils feel safe and supported. Leaders have high expectations for behaviour and achievement, and staff work collaboratively to ensure lessons are engaging and tailored to individual needs. Pupils benefit from a broad curriculum and strong pastoral care, helping them develop academically and personally.Duties as SEND Teaching Assistant:
- Support pupils with SEND needs in a primary classroom setting
- Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to help pupils achieve learning goals
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being
- Prepare and adapt resources to meet individual needs
- Monitor and record pupil progress and report to the teacher
- Contribute to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is essential
- Experience working in a primary school setting
- Previous experience supporting pupils with SEND needs
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
