Foreperson – South East (External Works / Repairs)

We’re working with a leading contractor in the South East who are looking for an experienced Foreperson to support multiple projects across a wide geographical area. This role will involve overseeing day-to-day activities on sites delivering external repairs, window replacements, redecoration, brickwork and roofing works.

You’ll be responsible for planning, supervising, and ensuring safe delivery of works in line with all Health & Safety requirements. The position covers a large region, including Stratford, Upminster, Southend-on-Sea, Eastbourne, Hastings and Dungeness. Travel is a key part of the role, and additional projects may occasionally extend to London, the wider South East, and even further afield.

• A team player with a proactive, can-do attitude

• Someone approachable, hardworking, and able to build strong relationships with site staff and the wider team

• Confident managing people and resolving issues as they arise

Essential Skills & Experience

• Experience supervising trade teams

• Strong understanding of multiple trades and how they work together

• Previous experience in a similar site-based supervisory role

• Good awareness of cost control

• Able to work independently and provide clear updates to management

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

• Strong Health & Safety knowledge

• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise workload

• CSCS card required

Desirable Skills
(Training can be provided for the right person)

• Basic IT skills

• Scaffold Inspection

• First Aid

• An Enhanced DBS check will be required

• Company van and mobile phone provided (please note: company insurance only covers drivers aged 25)

• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 17:00pm
