Job Description:

Our client is looking to hire a detail-oriented Estimator to join their manufacturing team. This key Estimator role involves assessing project requirements, gathering data, and producing precise cost estimates during the pre-production phase. The successful candidate will work closely with product specifications, project managers, and suppliers to ensure projects are completed within budget.

 

Key Responsibilities as an Estimator:

  • Project Analysis: Evaluate product specifications and production processes to determine accurate cost estimates.
  • Cost Estimation: Calculate project costs including materials, labour, equipment, and overheads.
  • Bid Preparation: Develop accurate and competitive bids for manufacturing projects.
  • Supplier Coordination: Collaborate with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
  • Project Management: Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables effectively.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of estimates, bids, and project data.
  • Communication: Ensure clear and effective communication with project managers, clients, and suppliers.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices.

 

To succeed in this Estimator role, the candidate will possess:

  • Proven experience as an Estimator, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in cost estimation software and MS Office Suite.
  • Analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and workflows.
