You will cover a range of subjects and year groups, ensuring continuity of learning during teacher absences.Duties as Secondary Supply Teacher:

• Deliver pre-prepared lessons across various subjects and year groups
• Maintain a calm and productive classroom environment
• Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
• Support students’ learning and engagement during cover lessons
• Report back to permanent teaching staff on student progress and any issues encountered
• Uphold safeguarding and health and safety standards at all times

Ideal Secondary Supply Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching in secondary schools across different subjects
• Strong classroom management skills and ability to adapt quickly
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Flexible and resilient, with a commitment to inclusive education
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
