SEMH Teaching Assistant – Full-time, long-term temporary position starting January 2026This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a school that provides a nurturing and inclusive environment. - Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs
- Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
- Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Support pupils’ social and emotional development through mentoring and guidance
- Implement behaviour management strategies effectively
- Ensure safeguarding and welfare standards are upheld at all times
- Previous experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs is essential
- Strong understanding of strategies for managing challenging behaviour
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A proactive and flexible approach to supporting learning
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
