Job Title: Maintenance Engineer
Maintenance Engineer – Up to £45,000
Location: Static Site – Mayfair, London
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm (with overtime when required)

We’re seeking a proactive and dependable Maintenance Engineer to take ownership of the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and compliance of building systems within a high-end, client-occupied commercial building in Mayfair. This role suits someone who enjoys working autonomously, takes pride in maintaining an immaculate building environment, and delivers a consistently high level of service.

Key Responsibilities

Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM):

Carry out daily walkarounds to inspect:

Floors, walls, doors, and general finishes for wear or damage
BMS, fire alarms, leak detection systems, and other control panels
Plant rooms, lighting, and overall building condition

Conduct weekly checks and maintenance of kitchen grease traps and shower traps

Coordinate and schedule PPM activities with the helpdesk

Carry out painting and decorating works within the commercial building, including scheduled painting every Friday and additional touch-ups as required to maintain presentation standards

Record all findings, escalate issues promptly, and ensure close-out of remedial works

Reactive Maintenance & Site Operations:

Manage and prioritise daily reactive tasks using the client’s FM system

Ensure all follow-up actions are carried out efficiently and professionally

Serve as the main point of contact on site for all maintenance-related matters

Support out-of-hours works (evenings/weekends) when required, including supervision of special events

Join weekly catch-up meetings with the client to discuss ongoing maintenance tasks, priorities, and upcoming works
