Senior Management Accountant

Full-time, Permanent On-site 5 days per week Dunstable

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 depending on experience.

ReeVR Talent are representing a market-leading, growing business in the aerospace and defence sector, seeking a Senior Management Accountant to join their finance team.

This is an exciting time to join as the business is undergoing rapid expansion, including a move to a larger, modern facility within the coming months. The Senior Management Accountant will be part of a small, tight-knit team, where collaboration and team fit are key, and their work will have a direct impact on business performance.

What the Senior Management Accountant will be responsible for:

• Partnering with operational and commercial teams to drive financial performance
• Preparing monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and insightful commentary
• Leading budgeting and forecasting for assigned business areas
• Supporting cost centre owners with financial planning and control
• Analysing product costing, margins, and overall profitability
• Providing financial modelling and scenario analysis for business cases and investment decisions
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies
• Supporting year-end audit and statutory reporting processes
• Identifying and implementing improvements to financial reporting and efficiency
• Supporting the implementation and optimisation of ERP and reporting systems
• Acting as a key finance contact on cross-functional projects and initiatives

What we’re looking for in the Senior Management Accountant:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Clear communicator with the ability to influence non-finance colleagues
• Commercial, proactive mindset with a business-partnering approach
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent time management and reliability
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with any ERP systems (Epicor desirable)
• Understanding of manufacturing finance, product costing, and margin analysis is highly desirable

Experience:

• Proven experience in management accounting or finance business partnering
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
• Solid experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
