Job Description:
Lead the numbers. Shape the strategy. Secure the future.
Are you an experienced estimator ready to step into a leadership role where your decisions genuinely influence business success?
We’re looking for a commercially astute Estimating Manager to take ownership of the estimating function within a specialist manufacturing environment. This is a pivotal role for someone who enjoys combining technical detail, strategic thinking, and people leadership — and wants to see their work directly impact winning projects and long-term growth.
Why This Role?
Senior, influential position with real ownership
Opportunity to shape processes and strategy — not just follow them
Work on technically challenging, high-value security projects
Be part of a collaborative, specialist environment where expertise is valued
What You’ll Be Doing
As Estimating Manager, you’ll be responsible for far more than just pricing:
Lead and develop the estimating team, setting standards, priorities, and best practices
Own the estimating process from bid review through to final submission
Work closely with Sales, Design, Production, and Project teams to ensure alignment from bid to delivery
Oversee supplier and subcontractor pricing, negotiations, and benchmarking
- Identify and manage commercial and technical risk, including compliance with industry standard
Who We’re Looking For
You’ll likely be someone who:
Has strong experience in estimating within the building, construction, or fabrication sector
Is confident leading or mentoring others and taking ownership of outcomes
Understands UK building/construction regulations and tendering processes inside out
Is highly analytical, commercially aware, and comfortable making decisions
Can communicate clearly with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders
