• Deliver engaging lessons in animal care across a range of levels
• Plan and prepare schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum requirements
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback
• Maintain accurate records of achievement and attendance
• Support learners with practical skills development in animal handling and welfare
• Contribute to departmental meetings and curriculum development
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all practical activities

Ideal Animal Care Lecturer:

• Relevant teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Animal Care or related subject
• Experience teaching or working within an educational setting
• Strong knowledge of animal welfare, husbandry, and related practices
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to inspire and motivate learners of varying abilities
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students
