• Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils across various subjects
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging and age-appropriate learning activities
• Support pupils with literacy and numeracy development
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being
• Help create a stimulating and safe classroom environment
• Liaise with teaching staff and SENCO to ensure consistent support
• Uphold safeguarding standards and ensure the welfare of all pupils

Ideal Teaching Assistant:

• Previous experience supporting children in a secondary school setting
• Strong understanding of strategies for supporting diverse learning needs
• Ability to use initiative and work independently when required
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Patience, resilience, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
