SEMH Primary Teacher – Full-time, permanent role starting March 2026This is an exciting opportunity to join a school where pupils with SEMH needs are supported in a nurturing and inclusive environment. Staff work collaboratively to ensure pupils receive personalised support and access to a curriculum that enables academic progress and personal growth.Duties as SEMH Primary Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to pupils with SEMH needs
- Differentiate teaching strategies to meet individual learning requirements
- Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages participation
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and targeted interventions
- Work closely with support staff and SENCO to implement personalised learning plans
- Promote emotional resilience and positive behaviour through consistent strategies
- Uphold safeguarding standards and ensure the welfare of all pupils
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching in a primary setting
- Strong understanding of SEMH needs and effective strategies for engagement
- Ability to build positive relationships and inspire confidence in pupils
- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
- Patience, resilience, and a proactive approach to supporting diverse needs
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
