The school has both full-time and short-term supply opportunities available — ideal for graduates or those with classroom experience looking to further their careers in education.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will support the continuity of learning by supervising whole classes in the absence of the regular teacher. Lessons will be pre-planned, and your role will be to manage the classroom, maintain behaviour standards, and ensure pupils stay engaged with their learning.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering pre-set lesson content across a range of subjects at Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Managing classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies
  • Supporting students in their understanding of lesson objectives and tasks
  • Providing feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and engagement
  • Stepping in to support other areas of the school day such as tutor time, break duty, or intervention where needed
