Job Description:
My client was established in 1924 and specialises in designing and producing cutting-edge machinery used in industries such as cosmetics, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, and personal care.
As the Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out electrical and pneumatic design, validation of all designs to the current safety standards and requirements, support CE certification of all equipment, carry out design studies and reviews, and prepare specifications for special applications. Additionally, you will complete the FAT document and as-built electrical documentation, support installation, troubleshooting visits at customer sites worldwide, and work with the Service and Aftercare teams.
What we would like from the Electrical Design Engineer:
- Experience designing electrical control systems for special-purpose machinery
- Experience designing safety control systems and validation using appropriate software
- Good understanding of AutoCAD Electrical
- Experience in compiling BOMs and MRP uploads
- Knowledge of safety equipment and standards
- Working with end users to confirm functionality specifications and interface requirements
- Experienced in creating risk assessments and designing safety circuits to meet the appropriate SIL level (desirable)
- Motion control system design (desirable)
