Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Salary: Up to £60,290 per annum (DOE)
Hours: 42 hrs / week4 on / 4 off, rotating days then nights (1 week days / 1 week nights)
Right to Work: Must already have the right to work in the UK – no sponsorship available
Training: Must be apprenticeship‑trained (time‑served) with an electrical bias

What you’ll do in this Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer role: 

  • Tackle breakdowns fast—diagnose and fix automation, electrical and mechanical issues safely.

  • Deliver continuous improvement projects that boost performance and reliability.

  • Roll out engineering strategies consistently and efficiently.

  • Own and deliver CI/improvement projects on time and within budget.

  • Drive site KPIs (OEE, CCOs) with smart engineering decisions.

  • Maintain the highest H&S standards across everything you do.

  • Coach operators and junior engineers, sharing best practice and building team capability.

What you’ll bring to this Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer role: 

 

  • Apprenticeship‑trained (time‑served) with an electrical biasessential.

  • FMCG experience (ideally food manufacturing) and strong fault‑finding skills.

  • Clear communicator who can train, coach and influence on the shop floor.

  • Naturally curious, proactive, and driven by continuous improvement.

  • Alternatively, C&G 2346‑03 Electro‑technical Experienced Worker qualification.

  • HNC/HND and relevant electrical certifications are highly desirable.
