Cover Supervisor – Full-time, long-term temporary role starting as soon as possible

Teaching and support teams work together to help pupils build confidence and stay engaged across the school day.Duties as Cover Supervisor:

• Supervise classes during teacher absence and keep pupils focused on set work
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials across a range of subjects
• Maintain calm and orderly behaviour following school routines
• Support pupils with tasks when appropriate
• Provide feedback to teachers about lesson progress and any concerns
• Assist with general classroom routines and transitions
• Uphold safeguarding standards and prioritise pupil welfare

Ideal Cover Supervisor:

• HLTA qualification is accepted
• Confident supervising classes across primary year groups
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
• Ability to follow lesson plans and maintain productive learning environments
• Adaptable, reliable, and proactive in supporting learning
• Good organisational skills and ability to work collaboratively with staff
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil well‑being
