SEMH Teaching Assistant – Full-time, long-term temporary role starting as soon as possible

- Provide full‑time support for pupils with SEMH needs
- Assist with emotional regulation and behaviour strategies
- Build positive, trusting relationships to encourage engagement
- Support pupils who may display challenging behaviours
- Assist with lesson tasks and reinforce key learning activities
- Work closely with teachers and pastoral teams
- Follow individual learning plans and behaviour support approaches
- Uphold safeguarding standards and prioritise pupil welfare
- Strong experience supporting SEMH pupils
- Confident managing dysregulated or emotionally vulnerable pupils
- Patient, calm, and resilient in challenging situations
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Able to adapt support strategies to varied pupil needs
- Proactive, reliable, and consistent in approach
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil well‑being
