Maintenance Officer

Location: Oxfordshire (must live within a 1-hour commute)
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Annual Salary: Up to £39,000 per annum
Benefits: Company van and fuel card
Hours: 42.5 per week (Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm)


 
About the Role

We are expanding our Maintenance Officer team to support the delivery of high-quality services across Oxford key worker and student accommodation sites. This role focuses on compliance, minor repairs, and general site support.


Day-to-Day Duties
  • Carrying out compliance checks, including meter readings, flushing void properties, and minor remedial works

  • Completing small reactive repairs (typically 15 minutes or less) across key worker and student accommodation

  • Moving items and materials between sites as required, supporting property managers

  • Ensuring all compliance requirements for key worker and student properties are met

  • Delivering excellent customer care and maintaining high service standards at all times


Role Criteria

Essential

  • Previous experience as a Handyperson, Maintenance Officer, or Site Maintenance Operative

  • Experience in basic plumbing, carpentry, decorating, and general repairs

  • Previous experience working within social housing

  • Full UK driving licence with fewer than 9 points

  • Ability to provide own tools (company van and uniform provided)

  • Good level of physical fitness

  • Flexible, proactive, and reliable approach to work

Desirable

  • Experience completing compliance checks, such as water meter readings, flushing void properties, and electric meter checks

To drive a company vehicle, applicants must be aged 21 or over, have held a licence for at least 3 months, and have fewer than 9 points.
