Design Technology Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary role starting as soon as possible until the end of the academic year

• Plan and deliver engaging Design Technology lessons across relevant year groups
• Support pupils in developing practical skills, creativity, and technical understanding
• Maintain a safe, well‑organised workshop or classroom environment
• Adapt teaching approaches to suit varied learning needs
• Assess pupils’ learning and provide constructive feedback
• Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development
• Promote positive behaviour and maintain consistent routines
• Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare

Ideal Design Technology Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Design Technology
• Strong subject knowledge across practical and theoretical DT units
• Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
• Ability to motivate and support learners of mixed abilities
• Good communication and organisational abilities
• Proactive, reflective, and committed to supporting pupil progress
• Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting well‑being
