You will be supporting pupils in Thame and the surrounding areas, delivering engaging and supportive learning experiences across Key Stage 1.Duties as KS1 Teacher:

• Deliver engaging and age‑appropriate lessons across the KS1 curriculum using provided plans
• Maintain a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
• Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
• Adapt teaching methods to support a wide range of learning needs
• Assess and record pupil progress when required
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support whole‑school aims
• Contribute to wider school life during longer‑term placements

Ideal KS1 Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and early primary pedagogy
• Confident behaviour and classroom management skills
• Flexible and adaptable across varied school environments
• Positive, nurturing, and child‑centred approach to teaching
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
