CNC Programmer

Location: Chippenham

Salary: Up to £55,000

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7.30am - 5pm

Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are looking for a skilled and motivated CNC Programmer and Operator to join a fast-growing team based in Chippenham. In this role, you'll play a vital part in setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines to produce precision components across industries such as Defence, Automotive and Aerospace.

Key Responsibilities of CNC Programmer:

• Program and set up CNC machines to ensure they meet technical specifications for a variety of complex projects.
• Operate CNC milling, turning, and drilling machines to manufacture parts with a high level of accuracy.
• Offline programming is essential
• Monitor machine operations during production, ensuring quality and efficiency standards are met.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of setups, production logs, tooling data, and machine performance.
• Collaborate closely with engineers and technicians to resolve any technical challenges and ensure the timely completion of production targets.

Essential Requirements of the CNC Programmer:

• At least 3 years' experience in CNC programming and operating
• Solid experience in a precision engineering environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD/CAM programs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and a proactive, hands-on approach to work.
• Willingness to work afternoon shifts as required.
