Job Description:

English Teacher – Flexible short-term and long-term opportunities available immediately
These flexible opportunities are ideal for teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different secondary school settings. You will be supporting pupils in Attleborough and the surrounding areas, delivering engaging English lessons across Key Stages.Duties as English Teacher:
  • Deliver engaging English lessons using provided plans
  • Teach key curriculum areas such as literature, language, reading, writing, and analysis
  • Support students in developing strong communication and critical‑thinking skills
  • Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
  • Assess and record pupil progress when required
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of learners of varying abilities
  • Contribute to departmental collaboration during longer‑term placements
Ideal English Teacher:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong subject knowledge in English language and literature
  • Confident classroom and behaviour management abilities
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students across multiple year groups
  • Flexible and adaptable across different school environments
  • Strong organisation and communication skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
