Maths Teacher – Flexible short-term and long-term opportunities available immediately
These flexible opportunities are ideal for teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different secondary school settings. You will be supporting pupils in Ipswich and the surrounding areas, delivering high-quality learning experiences across the Maths curriculum.Duties as Maths Teacher:
  • Deliver engaging Maths lessons using provided plans
  • Teach a range of mathematical topics including algebra, geometry, number, and statistics
  • Support learners in developing problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
  • Adapt teaching strategies to support learners with different abilities
  • Assess and record pupil progress when required
  • Contribute to departmental collaboration during longer-term placements
  • Promote positive attitudes towards numeracy and independent learning
Ideal Maths Teacher:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of the Maths curriculum
  • Confident behaviour and classroom management skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students across different year groups
  • Adaptable across a variety of school environments
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
