The Role of Sales and Service Manager

They are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales and Service Manager to lead their internal sales and technical service teams. In this pivotal role, you will drive revenue growth, enhance customer satisfaction, and ensure operational excellence. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to provide seamless support from inquiry to post-sale, ensuring their customers receive top-tier commercial and technical assistance.

 

Responsibilities of the Sales and Service Manager:

  • Lead, coach, and develop the internal sales and technical service teams to high performance. 
  •  Oversee the execution of sales processes, quotation management, and order fulfilment. 
  • Ensure timely, accurate quotations and technical responses to customer inquiries. 
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, acting as an escalation point for complex issues. 
  •  Drive continuous process improvements to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. 
  • Collaborate with other departments such as Engineering, Production, and Quality to meet organisational goals. 
  • Monitor KPIs related to customer satisfaction, sales performance, SLA compliance, and issue resolution. 
  •  Promote a culture of quality, safety, and environmental responsibility within the teams. 

 

Requirements of the Sales and Service Manager:

  • Proven leadership experience within inside sales, technical service, or customer-facing operations. 
  • Strong technical aptitude with knowledge of ERP/MRP, CRM, and quotation systems. 
  •  A background in manufacturing, working with capital or special-purpose equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead effective teams. 
  •  Strong customer service orientation with problem-solving and analytical skills. 
  •   Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
