SEND EYFS Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary and ongoing role starting March 2026
This special needs setting provides a calm, nurturing, and well‑structured learning environment where children with Autism and complex needs benefit from highly supportive staff, predictable routines, and carefully adapted teaching. Leaders work closely with practitioners to maintain high expectations, helping children feel safe, understood, and ready to learn. Pupils respond well to patient, consistent approaches that promote communication, independence, and steady developmental progress.Duties as SEND EYFS Teacher:
  • Teach and support EYFS learners with Autism and complex needs
  • Deliver adapted, developmentally appropriate lessons using structured approaches
  • Implement personalised learning plans and communication strategies
  • Support sensory, social, and early academic development
  • Work with small groups and 1:1 as needed
  • Collaborate with support staff, therapists, and SEN teams
  • Maintain consistent routines and promote emotional regulation
  • Contribute to assessments, observations, and progress reports
  • Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil well‑being
Ideal SEND EYFS Teacher:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with strong EYFS and SEND experience
  • Confident supporting children with Autism and complex learning profiles
  • Skilled in adapting EYFS learning for varied cognitive and sensory needs
  • Calm, patient, empathetic, and nurturing
  • Effective communicator with strong teamwork abilities
  • Skilled in observation, assessment, and reporting
  • Proactive, reflective, and committed to high‑quality SEND practice
