Job Description:

Field Service Engineer – Large Format Printers / Cutting Systems
£37,500 plus package

We’re partnering with a market-leading supplier of premium large format print and digital cutting technology to recruit a personable, technically strong Field Service Engineer to join their growing expert team.

This isn’t just another service role. You’ll be representing a highly respected business known for innovation, quality equipment, and long-term customer partnerships across the UK print sector. Their reputation is built on technical excellence and genuine support — and they need someone who reflects that.

The Role

This is a dual-focus position combining engineering expertise with customer training and relationship building.

You will:

  • Install, commission, and maintain high-end large format printers and cutting systems
  • Deliver structured, hands-on training to operators (hardware and software)
  • Support market-leading technologies including EFI, Canon, Mimaki and similar platforms
  • Provide guidance on RIP and workflow software such as Onyx, Caldera, Enfocus and Fiery
  • Diagnose faults, carry out repairs and preventative maintenance
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor, helping customers maximise uptime and productivity

What They’re Looking For

  • Proven experience servicing large format print and/or digital finishing equipment
  • Strong fault-finding and electro-mechanical troubleshooting ability
  • Confidence delivering training and communicating with operators and production teams
  • Working knowledge of RIP software, colour management and workflow optimisation
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Flexibility to travel across the South / Home Counties, with occasional wider UK travel

Why Join Them?

This is a well-established, forward-thinking business that genuinely invests in its engineers. You’ll benefit from:

  • £37,500 basic salary
  • Company vehicle
  • 26 days holiday Bank Holidays
  • Structured site visits (no reactive, chaotic callout culture)
  • Ongoing product training and development
  • A supportive, well-established team of technical professionals to support you

If you’re technically capable but also enjoy building rapport with customers and being seen as the go-to expert on site, this is a role where your knowledge and personality will both be valued – please forward your CV for immediate consideration.
