Mechanical Assembler

Hours – Monday – Friday (non-shift)

Fantastic opportunity to join an established manufacturing business with a strong order book in a varied role with ongoing training and development.

You will ideally have some previous experience of mechanical assembly in a production environment or be looking to further develop your skills if you have good experience of using hand tools and enjoy taking things apart and re-building.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Assembling and testing a range of mechanical and electromechanical products
  • This will encompass using a range of hand tools 
  • The ability to follow written instructions, ideally with the ability to read engineering drawings
  • Follow safe working practices at all times

What you’ll need:

  • Mechanical assembly experience or mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions, but also the ability to problem solve and use your own initiative
  • Physically fit as there will be a degree of lifting (with lifting aids), and you will often be on your feet
  • Willing to train across products and learn new skills
  • Able to communicate effectively
  • Ability to safely use power and hand tools
  • The ability to read engineering drawings would be ideal

 

Other Information:

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week
