General Science Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary and ongoing role starting April 2026

• Teach General Science across KS3 on a full-time basis
• Deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons
• Adapt teaching approaches to support varied learning needs and abilities
• Maintain consistent routines and promote positive behaviour
• Support pupils in developing scientific enquiry and problem‑solving skills
• Assess pupil progress and provide constructive verbal feedback
• Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development
• Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare

Ideal General Science Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching KS3 Science
• Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics foundations
• Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
• Ability to motivate and support mixed‑ability learners
• Good communication and organisational abilities
• Proactive, reflective, and committed to delivering high‑quality lessons
• Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting pupil well‑being
