Technical Lead – Heat Networks
£70,000 - £80,000 Bonus Remote UK

A specialist consultancy working in the heat network / district heating sector is looking for a Technical Lead to join its growing technical team.  This is a senior opportunity for an experienced heat network engineer or consultant who wants to lead technical projects, influence clients and play a key role in improving the performance and decarbonisation of communal and district heat networks across the UK.

The organisation works closely with housing associations, local authorities and property managers, helping them improve the efficiency, compliance and long-term sustainability of their heat networks.

The Role
You will act as the technical lead on complex heat network consultancy projects, supporting clients from initial assessment through optimisation and long-term performance improvement.  This will include:

• Leading heat network optimisation and performance improvement projects
• Conducting heat network site surveys and technical assessments
• Delivering decarbonisation studies and asset reviews
• Analysing heat network operational data
• Leading technical meetings, workshops and presentations

You’ll work with organisations responsible for communal and district heat networks, helping them improve reliability, reduce costs and prepare for new heat network regulations.

Essential Experience

• 5 years’ experience in the heat network / district heating sector, preferably working with social housing providers
• Strong knowledge of heat network design, operation and optimisation
• Experience carrying out heat network site visits or technical surveys
• Knowledge of UK heat network policy or regulatory developments
• Strong technical reporting and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical information to non-technical clients
