Inventory Team Leader – Permanent Role Up to £37,315.20 Excellent Benefits

Are you an experienced Inventory Team Leader looking for your next opportunity in a fast‑paced, forward‑thinking environment? We’re searching for a motivated and hands‑on professional to join our Logistics & Inventory operation and take ownership of leading a high‑performing warehouse team.

As our new Inventory Team Leader, you’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate stock control, smooth material flow, safe MHE operation, and exceptional support to internal customers across the business. About the Inventory Team Leader Role

In this full‑time position, the Inventory Team Leader will oversee day‑to‑day warehouse activities including goods receipt, putaway, picking, kitting, Kanban replenishment, stock counting, ERP transactions, and ensuring the department operates safely and efficiently.

You will coach and support a team of Storekeepers, drive performance, investigate discrepancies, collaborate with multiple departments, and ensure all inventory processes follow the highest standards.

This permanent position includes:

  • Salary up to £37,315.20 depending on skills and experience
  • 39 hours per week:
    • Monday to Thursday: 7.30am – 4.00pm
    • Friday: 7.30am – 3.00pm
  • Profit Related Bonus Scheme worth 5% of basic salary
  • 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the Inventory team to deliver accurate and timely warehouse operations
  • Oversee goods in, putaway, picking, kitting and Kanban replenishment
  • Ensure accurate ERP transactions, stock movements and documentation
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and support continuous improvement activities
  • Maintain high standards of safety, housekeeping, and 5S
  • Conduct and support stock counts, audits, and material investigations
  • Ensure safe operation of MHE, including forklift trucks and pedestrian stackers
  • Support training, development, and performance management of team members
  • Collaborate with Production, Purchasing, Quality, Engineering and other departments
  • Assist with delivery and collection tasks using the company vehicle when required

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 2 years’ people management experience
  • Strong warehouse, stock control or inventory background
  • Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, validation and dashboards
  • Experience with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem‑solving abilities
  • Understanding of warehouse best practices and MHE safety (desirable)
  • Forklift licence (desirable)
  • Knowledge of lean tools such as 5S, PDCA, A3 and Kaizen (advantageous)
