Multi Skilled Fabric Technician
Location: Didcot
Salary: £32,000

We are currently recruiting for a Multi Skilled Fabric Technician to join a facilities maintenance team based on a large estate in Didcot.

The successful candidate will support the day to day delivery of fabric maintenance works across the site, ensuring all tasks are completed in line with industry standards and service level agreements.

Technical Competencies

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:

Minimum of 2 to 3 years site experience in a similar fabric or building maintenance role

Completed, or working towards completion of, a recognised multi skilled training course covering trades such as carpentry, joinery, wet trades, floor and wall finishes, tiling, plastering, roofing or glazing

Relevant qualification such as City and Guilds or NVQ in a building trade

Willingness to work towards a Health and Safety qualification such as IOSH, NEBOSH or SMSTS

Ability to manage a varied workload and meet contractual KPIs

Ability to work on own initiative while also following supervisory direction

Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate professionally with site teams and clients

Good understanding of building and construction terminology

Key Duties

Carry out fabric maintenance tasks across the estate to meet and exceed service level agreements

Work across a large site environment which will involve a significant amount of walking

Respond to emergency building fabric repairs and assist colleagues when required

Carry out reactive maintenance tasks raised via the helpdesk system as well as completing planned preventative maintenance

Undertake basic lamping duties when required

Report any materials or spares required to supervisors or managers to ensure maintenance tasks can be completed

Maintain accurate maintenance records using the CAFM system and ensure all job cards are completed correctly
