A welcoming primary school in Brent is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team and provide focused support for children with Special Educational Needs (SEND).

The Role

You will be based in the nursery class, supporting pupils with autism and other additional needs. Following a larger-than-average intake of SEND pupils this year, the school is looking for an additional Teaching Assistant to provide a combination of 1:1 support and small-group interventions, helping children integrate and access play-based learning.

You will work closely with teaching staff, the SEN team, external support agencies, and families to ensure children receive the support they need to thrive.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in Early Years settings.
• Knowledge and understanding of supporting children with SEND, including autism.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate well with staff and families.
• A patient, nurturing approach and commitment to supporting children’s development.
