Geography Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary role starting as soon as possible until July 2026

Staff work collaboratively to help pupils feel safe, motivated, and confident in their learning. Pupils respond well to purposeful Geography lessons that develop independence, resilience, and strong academic progress across the curriculum.Duties as Geography Teacher:
  • Teach Geography full time across relevant secondary year groups
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that develop geographical knowledge, skills, and enquiry
  • Adapt teaching to meet varied learning needs and abilities
  • Maintain consistent behaviour expectations and a positive classroom environment
  • Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Contribute to departmental planning and collaborative curriculum development
  • Support pupils’ wider personal development through well‑structured learning experiences
  • Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare
Ideal Geography Teacher:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with strong Geography teaching experience
  • Confident delivering Geography at KS3 and KS4
  • Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Strong communication and organisational abilities
  • Able to motivate and support learners at different levels
  • Reflective, proactive, and committed to high‑quality teaching
  • Dedicated to safeguarding and supporting pupil well‑being
