Electrical Design Engineer
Hybrid – Gloucestershire

I’m working with a well-established engineering business that designs and manufactures specialist industrial equipment used across multiple sectors. Following continued growth, they’re looking to bring in an Electrical Design Engineer to support new product development and improvements to existing systems.

This is a proper engineering role, not just drawing updates. You’ll be involved from concept through to production, working closely with mechanical, manufacturing and compliance teams.

Key areas include:

• Electrical design of industrial products and systems
• Control panel layouts and electrical schematics
• PLC-based control systems and I/O definition
• Component selection and electrical documentation
• Supporting testing, validation and compliance (LVD, EMC, Machinery Directive)

They’re looking for someone with around 5 years’ experience in electrical product design, ideally within machinery, industrial equipment or fluid/process systems.

Experience with control panels, PLC-based systems, drives and electrical CAD tools such as SolidWorks Electrical or similar would be beneficial.

Hybrid working available.
