A global engineering manufacturer is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team developing specialist electro-mechanical equipment used across multiple industries.

You’ll work alongside Electrical, Systems and Software engineers to turn real customer requirements into robust, manufacturable products.

What you'll be doing

• Designing mechanical assemblies and sheet metal structures in 3D CAD
• Packaging electrical systems into practical mechanical solutions
• Working closely with electrical and systems engineers to develop complete products
• Producing drawings, models and accurate Bills of Materials
• Supporting suppliers and prototype builds
• Solving the engineering challenges that appear between concept and production

Useful background

• SolidWorks design experience
• Sheet metal or welded assembly design
• Experience packaging electrical equipment or control panels
• Understanding of BOM structures and manufacturing documentation
• Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent experience
