A welcoming and inclusive early years setting in central London is seeking a qualified and experienced SENCO to join their team from April 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate practitioner to take on a key leadership role within a well-established and supportive early years environment.

The Role

As SENCO, you will play a key leadership role in coordinating SEND provision across the nursery, ensuring early identification, effective intervention, and inclusive practice for all children with additional needs. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading on EHCP processes and overseeing individual support plans
  • Maintaining and updating the SEND register, with accurate records of pupils’ needs and progress
  • Liaising with parents, external agencies, and borough support teams to ensure joined-up, high-quality provision
  • Organising and delivering staff training to build confidence and consistency in inclusive approaches across the setting

This position is offered on a 5 day per week basis.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • The National SENCO Award (or equivalent recognised qualification)
  • Experience working with children with SEND in an Early Years setting
  • Strong working knowledge of the EYFS Framework and SEND Code of Practice
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
