A specialist secondary school in West Drayton is seeking a dedicated PE Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis. The role is being advertised by a recruitment agency on behalf of the school and offers an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive environment for students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

The Role

In this role, you will teach Physical Education across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 (OCR GCSE), and BTEC Sport National Level 3 (KS5) to male pupils. Students participate in weekly PE lessons covering a variety of indoor and outdoor sports, fitness, and physical development activities.

The school promotes a holistic approach to PE, using sport and physical activity to support students’ physical health, emotional wellbeing, and confidence. Lessons aim to develop physical competence while encouraging a lifelong positive attitude towards health and fitness.

You will work as part of a small and supportive PE department and should demonstrate an engaging teaching style, strong behaviour management, and the ability to motivate and inspire students with varying abilities and additional needs.

Applications are welcomed from both qualified teachers and experienced unqualified teachers who have previously taught PE within a secondary school or academy environment.

Requirements

• QTS or proven experience teaching PE successfully at secondary level
• Experience delivering GCSE PE and/or BTEC Sport
• Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Physical Education
• Ability to support and engage students with SEMH needs
• Enhanced child and adult DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
