Weld Inspector – Wolverhampton (Onsite)

Working onsite in Wolverhampton, you will play a key role in ensuring high‑quality welding standards across critical components and assemblies.

What You Will Do

As a Weld Inspector, your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring welds are completed in line with drawings and approved weld procedures.
  • Conducting pre‑weld visual fit‑ups and verifying welding equipment.
  • Carrying out post‑weld visual inspections to ensure quality requirements are met.
  • Defining and documenting re‑work and repair schemes where required.
  • Mentoring and providing constructive feedback to fitting and welding operators.
  • Performing departmental spot checks to support TPM and maintain NADCAP compliance.
  • Participating in investigations and supporting the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

Preferred Qualifications
  • TIG welding experience with Aluminium, Stainless Steel, and Nickel Alloys (essential).
  • Minimum City & Guilds Fabrication and Welding qualification or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of weld measurement techniques and inspection equipment.
