SEND 121 Teaching Assistant – Full-time, long-term temporary and ongoing role starting ASAP

Staff work collaboratively to maintain high expectations, and pupils respond positively to patient, consistent approaches that encourage engagement, emotional regulation, and steady academic and personal progress.Duties as SEND 121 Teaching Assistant:
  • Provide full-time 1:1 support for a Year 2 pupil with SEND needs
  • Assist with communication, engagement, and emotional regulation strategies
  • Support access to classroom learning through modelling, guided practice, and repetition
  • Implement individual support plans and behaviour strategies
  • Help the pupil during transitions, routines, and small‑group tasks
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SEND team
  • Promote positive behaviour and maintain consistent expectations
  • Uphold safeguarding standards and prioritise pupil welfare
Ideal SEND 121 Teaching Assistant:
  • Strong SEND experience is essential
