Level 3 Early Years Practitioner – Full-time, long-term temporary and ongoing role starting April 2026
This school provides a calm, nurturing, and well‑organised early years environment where children benefit from supportive adults, clear routines, and engaging learning experiences. Staff work collaboratively to maintain high expectations, helping young learners feel safe, confident, and ready to explore. Pupils respond well to purposeful teaching that promotes communication, independence, and steady developmental progress.Duties as Level 3 Early Years Practitioner:
  • Work full time across 2.5 days in nursery and 2.5 days with the wider school (likely Reception/Year 1).
  • Deliver high‑quality early years provision using play‑based and structured learning.
  • Support early literacy, numeracy, communication, and social development.
  • Assist with observations, assessments, and progress notes.
  • Maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Help with daily routines including settling, hygiene, meals, and transitions.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure consistent EYFS practice.
  • Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise child welfare.
Ideal Level 3 Early Years Practitioner:
  • Early Years Level 3 qualification is essential for ratio purposes.
  • Level 2 candidates may be accepted with strong experience.
  • Background in early years settings is highly desirable.
  • Warm, patient, and nurturing approach with young children.
  • Confident supporting communication, play‑based learning, and developmental needs.
  • Good communication, organisation, and teamwork skills.
  • Reliable, proactive, and committed to delivering high‑quality early years provision.
