Our client is seeking a proactive, commercially minded Indirect Buyer to join their Purchasing team and play a key role in driving supplier performance, cost reduction, and operational excellence.

What You’ll Do as the Indirect Buyer

In this varied and fast-paced role, the Indirect Buyer will take ownership of indirect, consumable, and maintenance-related purchasing across multiple sites. You will:

• Develop, negotiate and manage supplier agreements
• Consolidate and reduce the supplier base
• Manage purchase orders, rescheduling, expediting, and SAP data accuracy
• Handle supplier performance, invoice queries, returns, and non‑conformance
• Work closely with internal teams to support cost reduction, process improvement, and operational efficiency

What We’re Looking For

To thrive as the Indirect Buyer, you’ll need:

• Experience in purchasing within engineering or manufacturing
• Strong administration, negotiation, and communication skills
• Understanding of supply chain, MRP, and ideally SAP
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• A proactive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work with minimal supervision
• A clean driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally
