Job Description:
Are you a recent engineering graduate looking to start your career in mechanical design and manufacturing? We are seeking a Graduate Design Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team designing manufacturing tooling, fixtures, and jigs for complex mechanical products.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Graduate Design Engineer to gain hands-on experience in CAD modelling, tooling design, and practical engineering under the guidance of experienced engineers.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the design and detailing of manufacturing tooling, fixtures, jigs, and gauges as a Graduate Design Engineer
Create and update 2D drawings and 3D CAD models in line with engineering standards
Support senior engineers with tooling concepts, revisions, and updates
Participate in design reviews and implement feedback to improve functionality and manufacturability
Maintain accurate engineering documentation and drawings
Assist with basic analysis and troubleshooting of tooling fit and usability
Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to ensure tooling meets production requirements
Follow established engineering procedures and design guidelines
Skills & Experience
Post-secondary degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline
Ideally, candidates will have completed a year in industry or an internship relevant to engineering/design
Working knowledge of CAD drafting and 3D modelling
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drawings and layouts
Logical and structured approach to problem-solving
Good verbal and written communication skills
Enthusiastic, eager to learn, and open to feedback
