Graduate Design Engineer 

Are you a recent engineering graduate looking to start your career in mechanical design and manufacturing? We are seeking a Graduate Design Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team designing manufacturing tooling, fixtures, and jigs for complex mechanical products.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Graduate Design Engineer to gain hands-on experience in CAD modelling, tooling design, and practical engineering under the guidance of experienced engineers.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design and detailing of manufacturing tooling, fixtures, jigs, and gauges as a Graduate Design Engineer

  • Create and update 2D drawings and 3D CAD models in line with engineering standards

  • Support senior engineers with tooling concepts, revisions, and updates

  • Participate in design reviews and implement feedback to improve functionality and manufacturability

  • Maintain accurate engineering documentation and drawings

  • Assist with basic analysis and troubleshooting of tooling fit and usability

  • Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to ensure tooling meets production requirements

  • Follow established engineering procedures and design guidelines


Skills & Experience
  • Post-secondary degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline

  • Ideally, candidates will have completed a year in industry or an internship relevant to engineering/design

  • Working knowledge of CAD drafting and 3D modelling

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drawings and layouts

  • Logical and structured approach to problem-solving

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Enthusiastic, eager to learn, and open to feedback
