SEND Learning Support Assistant – Full-time, long-term temporary and ongoing role starting ASAP

- Provide full-time support for KS3 pupils with Autism, ADHD, MLD, social communication needs and some SEMH.
- Work 1:1 and with small groups to reinforce learning activities.
- Support pupils’ communication, emotional regulation and engagement in lessons.
- Assist with structured interventions tailored to individual needs.
- Support the delivery of classroom activities through modelling, guidance and reassurance.
- Use positive behaviour strategies to promote a calm and safe learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SEND teams and pastoral staff.
- Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare at all times.
- Strong SEND experience is essential, ideally including Autism, ADHD, MLD and SEMH.
- Confident supporting KS3 pupils with varied developmental needs.
- Calm, patient and resilient when working with challenging or complex behaviours.
- Able to build trusting relationships and encourage pupil engagement.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable, proactive and committed to supporting pupil progress.
- Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting pupil well‑being.
