Early Years Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary and ongoing role starting April 2026
This school provides a warm, nurturing and well‑structured early years environment where children benefit from caring adults, predictable routines and engaging early learning opportunities. Staff work collaboratively to uphold high expectations, helping children feel safe, confident and ready to learn. Pupils respond well to purposeful EYFS and KS1 teaching that supports communication, independence and steady developmental progress.Duties as Early Years Teacher:
  • Teach full time within the Early Years setting.
  • Deliver engaging, play‑based and structured EYFS learning opportunities.
  • Plan and adapt activities to meet a range of developmental needs, including SEND.
  • Support early communication, phonics, early literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Maintain consistent routines and contribute to a calm, positive learning environment.
  • Carry out observations and assessments to track pupil development.
  • Work collaboratively with EYFS practitioners and support staff.
  • Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise child welfare.
Ideal Early Years Teacher:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with EYFS teaching experience.
  • Strong understanding of early years pedagogy and child development.
  • Confident supporting pupils with mixed developmental stages and needs.
  • Warm, patient and nurturing approach.
  • Effective communication, organisation and behaviour management skills.
  • Reliable, proactive and committed to delivering high‑quality early learning.
  • Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting pupil well‑being.
