General Science Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary and ongoing role starting April 2026

• Teach General Science full time across secondary year groups.
• Deliver well‑planned practical and theory-based lessons.
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet a range of learning needs and abilities.
• Teach clear scientific concepts and support pupils in developing enquiry and investigative skills.
• Maintain consistent behaviour expectations and promote a positive classroom climate.
• Assess pupil progress and provide constructive written and verbal feedback.
• Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development and collaborative meetings.
• Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare.

Ideal General Science Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with strong experience teaching Science.
• Confident teaching KS3 and KS4 Science content.
• Effective behaviour management and strong classroom organisation skills.
• Able to motivate and support learners of mixed abilities.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reflective, proactive and committed to delivering high‑quality Science lessons.
• Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting pupil well‑being.
