• Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with SEND
• Assist teachers in delivering differentiated and accessible learning activities
• Help implement individual education plans and personalised strategies
• Support pupils with communication, behavioural, sensory, or cognitive needs
• Promote a positive, calm, and inclusive learning environment
• Assist pupils with personal care tasks when required
• Monitor and record pupil progress and share observations with staff
• Contribute to wider school routines during longer-term placements

Ideal SEND Teaching Assistant:

• Previous experience supporting pupils with SEND
• Understanding of strategies for autism, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, SLCN, and other needs
• Calm, patient, and nurturing approach
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Confident implementing behaviour management and de-escalation approaches
• Adaptable across key stages and varied educational settings
• Professional, reliable, and proactive
