Cover Supervisor – Full-time supply from April 2026 until July 2026This secondary setting offers a calm and orderly environment where pupils benefit from clear routines and a supportive culture. Staff work cohesively to maintain high expectations, and learners show positive attitudes towards their studies. The school promotes personal development effectively, helping pupils grow in confidence and resilience. Duties as Cover Supervisor:
  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons to secondary pupils across a range of subjects.
  • Maintain a purposeful learning environment and manage classroom behaviour.
  • Support pupils in completing tasks set by the class teacher.
  • Follow school policies and procedures to ensure consistency.
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil engagement and progress.
  • Supervise pupils during lessons, transitions, and at times during non-teaching periods.
Ideal Cover Supervisor:
  • Previous experience working with secondary-aged pupils is desirable.
  • Confident in managing behaviour and maintaining a positive classroom atmosphere.
  • Able to engage a wide range of learners with differing needs.
  • Reliable, adaptable, and able to follow instructions accurately.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive rapport with pupils.
  • Suitable for individuals considering a future career in teaching or education support.
