Early Years Practitioner – Full-time, temporary to permanent position available ASAP

This is a great opportunity for an Early Years Practitioner who enjoys creating engaging learning experiences and helping young children build the foundations for confident, independent learning. Working on a rotating shift pattern at this Nursery in Newham, the role requires an immediate start on a temporary long-term basis, with the prospect of becoming a permanent position for the right candidate.Duties as Early Years Practitioner:
  • Support children’s learning and development through purposeful play and planned activities.
  • Encourage communication and language through stories, conversations and imaginative experiences.
  • Promote children’s independence, confidence and early learning skills.
  • Help maintain a safe, engaging and well‑organised learning environment.
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and contribute to children’s welfare.
  • Work closely with colleagues to support consistent delivery of the curriculum.
  • Share updates with parents to support positive home‑nursery partnerships.
  • Work across rotating shifts, including 7–5 and 8–6.
Ideal Early Years Practitioner:
  • Level 3 Early Years Practitioner or equivalent.
  • Experience in early years settings.
  • Confident in delivering the EYFS and supporting holistic development.
  • Skilled in promoting communication, social skills and early learning.
  • Positive, caring and committed to high‑quality early years practice.
  • Knowledgeable about safeguarding responsibilities.
  • Able to work well with colleagues and contribute to a consistent team culture.
  • Interested in a temporary role with the potential to become permanent.
