QTS Secondary English Teacher – SEMH School (Wandsworth) – Full Time, Paid to Scale

A specialist SEMH school in Wandsworth is seeking a dedicated and resilient QTS Secondary English Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis. The school supports boys aged 5–19 with social, emotional, and mental health needs, providing a structured and nurturing environment where every student is encouraged to succeed.

About the Role:

• Deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential for KS5 depending on experience)
• Support students with SEMH needs through creative and adaptable teaching approaches
• Build strong, positive relationships to encourage engagement and progress
• Create a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
• Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and leadership teams

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Have experience teaching English at secondary level
• Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills
• Have experience working with SEMH, SEN, or challenging behaviour (desirable but not essential)
• Be patient, resilient, and passionate about supporting vulnerable learners
