Job Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Location: Barking
Salary: £55,000 – £57,000
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off (Days & Nights)

We are currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established and growing manufacturing business with a turnover exceeding £55 million. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the site, minimising downtime, and driving continuous improvement across all production equipment.

The Role

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across all plant equipment
• Respond quickly and effectively to breakdowns to minimise downtime
• Work on a range of equipment, including pumps, motors, gearboxes, and valves
• Complete fault finding and root cause analysis
• Carry out risk assessments before undertaking any work
• Support contractors and third-party engineers on site
• Contribute to continuous improvement and engineering projects
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety at all times

About You

• Multi-skilled or mechanically biased engineer
• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering
• Time-served engineer with strong hands-on experience
• Experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Proactive, reliable, and safety-conscious
