Job Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: Barking
Salary: £55,000 – £57,000
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off (Days & Nights)

We are currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established and growing manufacturing business with a turnover exceeding £55 million. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable, high-performing engineering team within a company that continues to invest in its people, processes, and plant.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the site, minimising downtime, and driving continuous improvement across all production equipment.

The Role
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across all plant equipment
- Respond quickly and effectively to breakdowns to minimise downtime
- Work on a range of equipment, including pumps, motors, gearboxes, and valves
- Complete fault finding and root cause analysis
- Carry out risk assessments before undertaking any work
- Support contractors and third-party engineers on site
- Contribute to continuous improvement and engineering projects
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety at all times
About You
- Multi-skilled or mechanically biased engineer
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering
- Time-served engineer with strong hands-on experience
- Experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Proactive, reliable, and safety-conscious
