Senior Quantity Surveyor – Groundworks / Civil Engineering

Truro, Cornwall 

£50 - 70k Dependant on experience 

A well-established and growing civil engineering contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of multiple groundworks and infrastructure projects.

This is a strong opportunity for a commercially astute QS who is confident operating at senior level and managing key client relationships.

The Role

  • Commercial management of several live groundworks / civil engineering projects

  • Full responsibility for valuations, variations, cost reporting, and final accounts

  • Leading commercial and contractual discussions with senior clients

  • Supporting project teams with commercial strategy and risk management

  • Working closely with senior management to drive project profitability

The Candidate

  • Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within groundworks and/or civil engineering

  • Comfortable managing multiple projects concurrently

  • Strong commercial awareness and solid contractual knowledge

  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (preferred)

  • Confident communicator with a professional, client-facing approach
